Handmade Bespoke Rocking Chairs
My beautiful rocking chairs are inspired by a design by American rocking chair maker Hal Taylor. His design and therefore all my chairs are influenced by grandfather of rocking chairs - Sam Maloof.
The chairs are made in the wood of your choice to fit your height and weight.

Folding Chair
Folding chair made from English Brown Oak.
This chair is one of a pair with a folding table too. The wood is local brown oak. Brown Oak is technically not a distinct species of oak, but rather refers to oak (almost always English Oak or another European species) that has been infected with a fungus.

Bespoke Beds
A recent addition to my website is beds. Although mattress sizes do dictate the sizes of bed to a furniture designer, there is plenty that can be done to make the bed bespoke and different from the standard beds available from the high street shops. This one has very chunky legs and a headboard with a curved top edge which follows the grain on the edge of the plank.
Tables and desks
I make tables for any occasion. Shown here are an oak dining table and chairs made for a local customer in Cumbria.
Many customers have asked me to make bespoke tables, desks or dressing tables for them. Dressing tables are a very special place to prepare for each day, and one that suits your requirements perfectly can only make each day better!
With many people now working more, or exclusively, from home, my bespoke desks have also proved very popular, and can be designed to fit both your working requirements and home decor perfectly.

Beautiful Adjustable Music Stands
Not your average music stand! The top section of this music stand telescopes into the bottom section – not simple to make as both sections are curved. The head of the music stand also adjusts in angle. It could be made to fit a tablet if you do not use sheet music.

Kitchens and kitchen furniture
I make fitted kitchens as well as free-standing kitchen furniture. In this image you see an oak island (in the style of a Georgian kitchen table) with a slate top, and a large douglas fir cupboard with glass panelled doors.
The oak table was huge, with the slate top being the maximum size the quarry could produce! I love using local products to make furniture: local oak and local slate for this project.

I make a huge variety of chests and cabinets.

Special Projects
I love making small 'special' projects for people. This rather lovely mantelpiece clock was made for someone who loves butterflies. It is made from walnut and rippled sycamore.
