Hill Top Furniture : Seating
Here are some pictures of various types of seating which I have made in the past. If you see anything you like here, I can make it again for you, or change it slightly to suit your needs.
Oak Boot Bench
Designed for storing boot and trainers and giving somewhere to sit to put them on.
The bench is 2m long and 430mm wide. The top shelf is designed to take trainers and the bottom shelf walking boots. It is made from local Cumbrian Brown Oak. Just look at the grain in that top.
Small Child's Chair
This chair is made to be a desk chair for a child. The seat height is 35cm. It is made from local cherry and has hexagonal legs. There is a butterfly carved into the headrest.
English elm stools
Two sizes of the same design elm stool.
Memorial Bench
Made from entirely from local air dried oak. The inscription is carved into the back rest.
Larch memorial bench.
Made from local cumbrian larch and in a park in Grasmere in the Lake District.
Ash Chair
A dressing table chair designed during my course at Waters and Acland. It's inspiration is from the shape of a sail.
The back and seat are both made from coopered slats of wood joined together to form a satisfying and comfortable curve.

Ash dining chair
Designed based on the Ash dressing table chair, but with stronger legs and larger seat and back.

English elm bar stool
Sturdy and yet very light. There are curves all over this stool.

This lovely traditional milking stool perhaps too nice to use in the milking parlour!
Reclaimed Elm foot stool
A foot stool is something every house should have at least one of. Good for sitting on to put your boots on, standing on to get something off a high shelf, or just resting your feet on after a long day.
